1. Special Orientation for S-STEM Scholars
UIC College of Engineering (COE) provides orientation to all incoming first-year and transfer undergraduate students. Some information is delivered through asynchronous modules, completed before students attend an on-campus, in-person orientation session that includes course selection with college advisors. While students are offered a variety of dates throughout the summer for new student orientation, a single day will be designated for S-STEM scholars in order to encourage attending orientation as a cohort and gain a further understanding of the goals/expectations that are designed to support their success as scholars.
